Curve Supports Evaluation of SineSemi SGT MOSFETs for Drone and Motor Applications
Curve is supporting regional customers evaluating SineSemi SGT MOSFETs for compact motor-control, battery and high-frequency power stages.
Curve Semiconductors is supporting regional evaluation of selected SineSemi SGT MOSFETs for drone, motor-control and battery-powered applications.
SineSemi’s published portfolio covers N-channel MOSFETs across multiple voltage classes, including devices intended for high-frequency switching and high-current power stages. The underlying device technology and product specifications are SineSemi’s; Curve’s role is customer engagement, product selection support and coordination of commercial and technical enquiries in its served markets.
Why these applications are demanding
Drone propulsion and compact motor-control systems place several requirements on the power stage at the same time:
- Low conduction loss to manage heat and battery use
- Controlled switching performance at higher frequencies
- Current capability for acceleration and transient loads
- Compact packaging and practical thermal paths
- Robustness appropriate to the final operating environment
SineSemi states that its optimized shielded-gate-trench technology is designed to balance on-resistance and gate charge, which can help reduce conduction and switching losses. Performance varies by part number and circuit conditions, so this should be confirmed against the current datasheet and validated in the customer’s design.
Curve’s application role
Curve can work with customers to narrow candidate devices by bus voltage, current, package, switching frequency and thermal constraints, then coordinate samples and further technical information.
No general automotive, reliability or certification claim is made for the portfolio as a whole. Where such requirements apply, customers should use only part-specific SineSemi documentation and complete their own validation and qualification process.
Technology and portfolio descriptions are based on SineSemi’s MOSFET information and product-news index.
